Planning your Vidor door
Frequently asked questions

From the first design to everyday care
How do I get a price?
Select the series, model, design, finish, glass, and opening dimensions. The final quote confirms product options, fit, freight, and installation scope before ordering.
Are all finishes and windows available on every model?
No. Model, panel style, dimensions, and finish affect availability. Use the series brochure as a starting point and have the final combination confirmed in writing.
Is this a wind-load or hurricane-rated door?
No. Vidor states that it does not currently offer wind-load or hurricane-rated doors. If your project requires a rated assembly, this catalog does not meet that requirement.
Can I create a custom wood door?
Yes. Vidor’s Authentic Wood series is made one door at a time, with drawings used to review board widths, windows, arches, and other design details. Submit your elevation, inspiration, and dimensions for review.
How should I clean a Vidor door?
Vidor recommends warm water, mild soap, and a microfiber cloth. Do not pressure wash. Follow the care instructions for the exact finish and ask about approved touch-up materials.
Will a color look exactly like the website photo?
Lighting and screens affect color. Request a physical sample of the selected grain and finish and approve it before ordering.
Are coastal projects covered by the same warranty?
Vidor’s FAQ identifies an exclusion for doors within five miles of saltwater. Request the current written warranty and verify your address and exposure before ordering.
Where are Vidor doors manufactured?
Vidor identifies Orem, Utah, as its manufacturing location. Custom Garage Doors USA is the storefront for your configuration request; delivery and installation scope are confirmed separately.
